Q:  What is the difference between a private chef and a personal chef?

A:  A private chef is employed by one individual or family full time, and is often "living in", and preparing up to 3 meals a day.

A Personal Chef serves several clients, usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are custom designed for the clients particular requests and requirements.   These meals are packaged and stored so that the client may enjoy them at their leisure in the future

Q:  What, exactly, do you do when you come to cook for me?

A: We do it ALL! We do all the grocery shopping, bring all the pots, pans and utensils necessary to prepare your meals. We prepare and then package your cuisine in freezer and over-safe containers.   We leave you a a list of  reheating instructions for each item. Then we clean up after ourselves.  The only sign that we've been there is the wonderful aromas and the mouth watering cuisine left behind for you to enjoy!

Q:  What if we have a picky eater?

A:  Not a problem.  Just tell your personal chef, who will work with you to customize any recipe to fit your tastes.

Q:  I love spicy foods.  Can you cook for a fire-eater?

A:  Absolutely!  No matter what your preference, hot or mild, we customize our recipes to suit your taste buds!

Q:  Is there any long term commitment?

A:  No.  In Good Taste provides you delicious meals when you want them.  Just schedule your consultation whenever you are ready.  We can come back every week, two weeks, or just whenever you need a break!

Q:  Do you cook in my kitchen?

A:  Yes.  We prepare your meals in the safety of your own kitchen.  On our agreed upon cooking date we bring the fresh ingredients for your meals along with our own pots, pans, and utensils, and prepare your entrees on site.  At the end of the day we leave your kitchen clean and full of the aroma of your custom cuisine.

Q:  Do I have to heat the food?

A:  Yes.  Any entrees that have been stored for you in your freezer should be defrosted overnight in your refrigerator, and heated to be enjoyed at the peak of flavor.  Your personal chef will leave your easy to follow heating instructions for each entree.

Q:  How much freezer space will I need?

A:  It depends on the number of meals you request and the size of the portions. Generally we do require a considerable amount of freezer space.  On the day of your initial consultation, your chef will want to take a look at your freezer and discuss the space needs for your service.  We have selected appropriate uniform-sized container for our clients, which helps maximize your freezer space.

Q:  How long will you be here?

A:  Several hours.  Since we will be preparing several entrees, and side dishes, from scratch, the cooking will likely take several hours.  Exactly how many hours will depend on which meals you have selected.   However, we are willing to work with your schedule, and make arrangements ahead of time, so that our cooking date doesn't conflict with your schedule.
